Greetings, Radloff Middle School Scholars, Families, and Community Members, 

I am Dr. Jennifer Callahan, and I am the proudest principal in Gwinnett County Public Schools because I serve the best staff and the best scholars in all of Gwinnett County.  I have had the honor of serving and supporting the Radloff community since February 2020.  

My own educational and life journey provides a strong foundation for the purpose and passion that I bring to this lighthouse each and every day.  As a child, I was born into poverty, and education enlightened pathways that I would have not otherwise known. Education became a lever for additional opportunities that were not present in my neighborhood.  The educators in my life inspired me to imagine a future filled with possibilities and not be entangled in the trauma of my reality. 

It is with this same spirit that I approach my mission at Radloff. This mission is to cultivate a community of learners where each learner compels other learners to reach their maximum potential—without limiting beliefs or excuses. To fully embody this mission, it is important that each and every stakeholder sees themselves as a part of this community of learners.  This community of learners includes scholars, parents, lighthouse keeper staff members, community members, and district leaders.  As we cultivate this community of learners, we put aside hierarchies so that we can maximize learning from one another. We put aside hierarchies so that we can hear, see, and experience another person’s story and allow those personal stories to widen our knowledge and perspective.  This is not an easy task, and I am committed to doing all that I can to intentionally plan, so that we collaborate and monitor our progress towards that mission. 

So, Radloff community, parents, scholars, and lighthouse keepers, I encourage you to see the partnership in this educational journey. Let’s link arms, lean into curiosity, and grow our community of learners to a place where we can influence and impact our scholars’ actions so that today’s learners can capture tomorrow’s dreams.
